Saskatoon Blades News Release

The Red Deer Rebels came into the Credit Union Centre and played a hard working game to come away with a 3-0 win.

Penalty trouble was the story of the game as the Blades went to the box 10 times. The Rebels capitalized twice on their power play chances while the Blades went 0-5. Steve Oursov (PP) had the lone goal in the first, while Willie Coetzee and Cass Mappin (PP) would round out the scoring in the second period.

Braden Holtby made 26 saves on 29 shots and Rebels goalie, Darcy Kuemper, made 27 saves for the shutout.

The Blades next game is Tuesday, December 16th when they host the Calgary Hitmen. All tickets are $5 and it is Toque Toss Night! Fans are encouraged to bring toques, mitts, scarves, and when the Blades score... Toss them on the ice! For tickets call 938.7800 or visit ticketmaster.ca.
