
Blades Receive Zahn & Elliott Back

Saskatoon Blades News Release
Defensemen Teigan Zahn and Stefan Elliott have been reassigned to the Blades from National Hockey League training camps.
Zahn, a 19-year-old product of Bethune, Saskatchewan, returned to Saskatoon on Wednesday night from the training camp of the Chicago Blackhawks. The fourth-year Blade was taken by the Blackhawks in the 5th round (132nd overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
Elliott, an 18-year-old from North Vancouver, British Columbia, will be back in Saskatoon today from the training camp of the Colorado Avalanche. The third-year Blade was selected by the Avalanche in the 2nd round (49th overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
The lone Blades player remaining at an NHL camp, defenseman Jyri Niemi continues to train with the New York Islanders across the hall from the Blades at Credit Union Centre. The Islanders are gearing up for a pair of preseason games this weekend at CUC.
Both Zahn and Elliott are expected to be in the lineup as the Blades kick off the 2009-10 Regular Season Friday, September 18th against the Regina Pats at Credit Union Centre in the 92.9 The Bull Home Opener. Doors open at 5:30 pm. The Blades will debut the Reebok EDGE Uniform System and prior to puck drop will raise the 2008-09 East Division Banner.
