Blades Host Tigers In Second Game of Icebreaker Tournament

The Saskatoon Blades will play their 2nd exhibition game in as many days on Saturday night as they do battle with the Medicine Hat Tigers in the third game of an Icebreaker triple header.

The game will be the Blades 3rd exhibition season tilt this season, sporting a 1-1-0-0 record with 7 goals in 2 games. The Blades are led offensively this pre-season by Brody Sutter (1G; 2A), Darian Dziurzynski (1G, 2A) and 15 year old defenseman Duncan Siemens (0G, 2A).

The Blades and Tigers met up 4 times in 2007/08 where the teams split the season series with 2 wins a piece. Travis Toomey scored twice and added a helper for 3 points in the season series last year with Medicine Hat.

For the Tigers, tonight's game will be their third match of the exhibition season and first at the Icebreaker tournament. Medicine Hat fell 6-4 to Regina on August 30th and were handed a 5-4 loss on September 1st by the newest team in the league, the Edmonton Oil Kings.
