GOT IT DONE: Forward Egor Sidorov was the only Saskatoon Blade able to solve Regina Pats netminder Ewan Huet in a 2-1 shootout victory Wednesday at the Brandt Centre.

The Anaheim Ducks draft pick scored the opening goal of the game for his team-leading 14th goal and seventh powerplay tally. Sidorov now has eight points (6G, 2A) on his four-game point streak, with 22 points (14G, 8A) in 15 games total. The 6-foot sniper was the first shooter for the Blades in the shootout and shelved a backhand for the shootout winner.

19-year-old netminder Austin Elliott got busier as the night went on stopping 26 shots and all three Regina shootout attempts. The Blades starter improved to 9-3-0-0 with a .927 save-percentage and 1.90 goals-against-average.

Sitting at the top of the Eastern Conference the Blades are now 12-5-0-0 on the year, and winners of four straight games. Saskatoon's tied in points with the Medicine Hat Tigers at 24, but still have a game in-hand.

NEXT GAME: The Blades rest Thursday before continuing their interprovincial road trip Friday night at InnovationPlex against the Swift Current Broncos.

It's the first of four meetings between the two teams this season, Saskatoon getting the edge last year 3-1.

Puck drop is 7:00.
