Kelowna Rockets News Release
The Kelowna Rockets will be looking to snap a five-game losing streak when they face the Everett Silvertips on Friday night in Washington. The Rockets will have Saturday night off before facing the Victoria Royals on the island on Monday and Tuesday.
AMERICANS CRUZ PAST ROCKETS
The Tri-City Amercians came back to down the Rockets 4-3 in Kennewick on Tuesday. The Rockets jumped out to a two-goal lead early into the game, but the Americans cut it in half before the end of the opening twenty. Kelowna restored their two-goal lead on the power play in the second period, but the Americans stormed back with three unanswered goals. Fifteen-year-old Cruz Pavao, who was drafted 13th overall by the Ams this past spring, recorded the game-tying and winning goals.
Andrew Cristall recorded his 200th WHL point on the Rockets opening goal. The Washington Capitals prospect left the game in the second period after the puck hit him in the side of the helmet while in front of the Americans net, he returned to the game in the final minutes of the third period.
A handful of Rockets regulars missed the game due to injuries, more information is available in the roster updates below.
