
'Blades activate Brindley from IR

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Gerry Fleming announced today that defenseman Ryan Brindley has been activated off the 7-day Injured Reserve list and that forward Bill Kinkel has been placed on the 3-day IR. As per team policy the injury was not disclosed.
Brindley returns to the lineup after missing the last three games because of an injury suffered in Florida's 2-1 overtime victory over the South Carolina Stingrays on January 12. The 30-year-old team captain has picked up four points (1g, 3a) and 22 penalty minutes in 14 games this season. The native of Thunder Bay, Ontario is playing in his ninth professional season and is in his fourth season with the Everblades. During his career Brindley has tallied 287 points (86g, 201a) and 847 PIM in 469 games.
Kinkel makes his second trip to the IR this season. The 22-year-old has skated in 24 games this season and has compiled 95 PIM. Prior to signing with the Everblades this season, the Buffalo, NY native spent the entire 2005-06 season in the American Hockey League with Houston where he collected six points (3g, 3a) and 190 PIM in 56 games.
