Blades Acquire Goalie Cann in Trade

Estero, FL - The Florida Everblades announced Wednesday that they had completed a trade with the Colorado Eagles, acquiring goaltender Trevor Cann in exchange for future considerations.
Cann, 24, was a second-round pick of the Colorado Avalanche, going 49th overall in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
"Trevor brings three years of American Hockey League experience and has a lot of talent," illustrated Everblades head coach Greg Poss, whose team sits tied for first in the South Division with a record of 7-0-0-1. "He missed all of last season to injury but he's staging a comeback here this year. We're excited to bring him aboard."
A native of Oakville, Ontario, Cann spent three seasons with the AHL's Lake Erie Monsters, 2009-12, compiling 16 wins. He was 0-1-0-0 with just one appearance with the Eagles.
The Blades return to Germain Arena to open up a three-game homestand, starting with a 7:30pm Wednesday contest against the Atlantic Division's Elmira Jackals.
It will be the start of the Blades' "Two Dollar Wednesdays," with $2.00 hot dogs, Bud drafts and Barefoot Wines throughout the game.
Tickets are now on sale at the Capital Bank Box Office at Germain Arena, Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturdays 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Wednesday's interdivision tilt will be broadcast locally on FOX Sports Radio 1350 AM and worldwide online on America ONE, the official internet television provider for the ECHL, at www.americaonesports.com. Pregame coverage will get under way at 7:15pm.
