
Vallerand Returns to Road Warriors

Greenville, SC: The Road Warriors announced today the signing of right-winger Marc-Olivier Vallerand.
Vallerand, 24, returns to the Greenville Road Warriors after starting the 2013-14 season in Denmark with Odense. In nine games with Odense, the Quebec native registered four goals and five assists. Last season with the Road Warriors, Vallerand notched 22 goals and 45 assists. He led the team in assists and points and was tied for second on the team in goals. Vallerand finished the 2012-13 season ranked 13th in the ECHL in scoring. The fourth year forward is the Road Warriors all-time point leader with 175.
Vallerand is not expected to play on home ice until Monday, November 11.
"Vallerand is a good two-way player. He will provide an offensive spark and his experience will benefit the young forwards on our team, " said Head Coach Dean Stork. "He can be a penalty killer and play valuable minutes on the power play. He has been a leading point producer the past three years and I anticipate that he will make a significant impact on our lineup. "
On Thursday, November 7th, the Road Warriors take on the South Carolina Stingrays at the Bons Secours Wellness Arena at 7:00 p.m. Throwback Thursday returns presented by New Rock 93.3 The Planet and Rock 101. Fans can enjoy $2 beers, hot dogs, sodas, and pretzels! Also, any fan who presents their BI-LO Bonus Card receives a buy-one get one free ticket while supplies last! In addition, any student who presents their student ID receives $5 in the Green section while supplies last.
The Road Warriors are holding Warrior Appreciation Night presented by Lockheed Martin, on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 7 p.m. at the Bons Secours Wellness Arena. All active and retired members of the U.S. military as well as local police officers, fire fighters, and other first responders can purchase tickets to the game at a special $5 discounted rate. Fans must show proof of service in order to receive the discounted rate. The Road Warriors will wear special Warrior Appreciation Night camouflage jerseys for the game which will be auctioned off with proceeds benefiting the Upstate Warrior Solution, the Harold C. Jennings Foundation, and the Rama Memorial Scholarship Fund.
