(Toledo, OH) - Defenseman Joe Sova has agreed to terms with the Toledo Walleye.

Sova, a native of Berwyn, IL, split last season between San Francisco and Reading in the ECHL for a total of 47 games with six assists and 38 penalty minutes. The 25 year old has 45 games of experience in the American Hockey League with Charlotte and Albany over his career. Prior to turning professional, the 6'3", 190 pound defenseman skated in 115 games over three seasons with the University of Alaska-Fairbanks. He scored 13 goals with 45 assists and 132 penalty minutes with the Nanooks.
