Elmira Jackals News Release
ESTERO, Fla. - November 6, 2013 - The Elmira Jackals play the second game of a five game road trip when they visit the Florida Everblades tonight. It is Elmira's first visit to Florida since the Everblades eliminated them from the 2013 Kelly Cup playoffs last April.

The Jackals are facing the Everblades tonight for the first of three meetings this season and first of two at Germain Arena. Tonight marks Elmira's return to the site where each of its last two playoff runs have ended. The Everblades eliminated the Jackals with a 7-2 win in Game 6 of the first round last year and 2-1 in Game 5 of the second round in 2012. Elmira won once in three tries here during the playoffs last year (8-2 in Game 2) but has not won a regular season game at Germain since a 5-4 triumph on December 7, 2011. Current Jackals Jordan Pietrus, Rob Bellamy, Jean Bourbeau, and Artem Demkov were a part of that winning effort. Tonight is also the return of former Everblade Philip-Michael Devos for the first time as a visitor.
Last Saturday Jordan Pietrus (1A) and Artem Demkov (1G) joined an exclusive group of Jackals. With a point each they became the 8th and 9th players in Elmira's ECHL history to register 100 points for the club. If each skater maintains his career scoring pace they would be within range of passing Dustin Gazley (134) for the third most points as a Jackal during the ECHL era. Pietrus enters action tonight with an assist in two straight and Demkov has scored in three straight.
Mark your calendars! The Jackals return home on November 15, 2013 to take on the Wheeling Nailers at 7:05 p.m. The Jackals will be giving away free poster schedules to the fans in attendance. Don't forget that groups of 10 or more who book in advance receive discounts off the box office price and preferred seating based on availability. Call 607-734-7825 to get your group outing booked.
