***The Bisons are 1.5 games behind Richmond in the IL Wild Card Race with 4 games to go.***

TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons take on the Rochester Red Wings in the first game of a four-game set from Frontier Field (7:05 p.m.). Buffalo is 0-2 on the final roadtrip of the season (six games). On the mound tonight will be LHP Jason Stanford, who worked three innings in a no-decision on Sunday against Scranton/WB (3H, 1R, 5K). Rochester will counter with RHP Kevin Slowey.

VS. WINGS: This Bisons are 8-4 against the Red Wings, including a perfect 4-0 at Frontier Field. Dating back to last year, Buffalo has won 7 of their last 9 in Rochester.

IL BATTING RACE: Ben Francisco (.316) now trails Richmond's Martin Prado (.318) in the IL batting race. Francisco lost his lead as he was held hitless in the two-game set in Pawtucket. Both Francisco and Prado have four games left in the season. The last Bisons batter to win a batting championship was Mark Ryal, who hit .334 in 1990 in the American Association.

I GOT YOUR BACK: Luis Rivas and Mike Rose have both homered in consecutive games for the Bisons. Rivas now has 11 homers on the year and has hit in 19 of his last 20 games (.329, 23-70). Rose has hit four home runs in his last six games after hitting just two in his first 78 games. Rose has average .368 (21-57) in 16 games since August 9.

K KING: LHP Jason Stanford will attempt to become the Bisons Modern Era leader in strikeouts tonight. The southpaw has 286 strikeouts in his seven-year Bisons career, just four behind Buffalo Baseball Hall of Famer, Rick Reed (290). Stanford, the only person to play in seven consecutive seasons in the Modern Era, is also 5th in wins (24) and 4th in innings pitched (372.0).

HIT STREAK: Andy Marte comes into tonight's game with a 10-game hit streak -the longest active streak on the team. Since August 21, he has hit .412 (14-34) with three home runs and 11RBI. He has also scored eight runs in the 10-game stretch.

RUN PRODUCER: Not known for driving in runs, Joe Inglett has collected 23RBI in his last 20 games. Inglett has averaged .292 (28-96) in August with six doubles, four triples and one home run. He's currently T3rd in the IL with 9 triples.
