TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons host the Scranton/WB Red Barons in the second game of a four-game series from Dunn Tire Park (7:35 p.m.). Yesterday, the Herd hit three home runs to win the series opener, 4-1. Tonight, the Bisons will have RHP Jeremy Guthrie on the mound, Guthrie is back after a one-game stint with Cleveland where he allowed four runs in two relief innings. The Red Barons will go with RHP Gavin Floyd, who lost on Saturday in Ottawa (6.0IP, 8H, 5R, 4ER, BB, 5K).

VS NORTH: The Bisons opened up their 18-game stretch against divisional opponents with a solid 4-1 win on Thursday. Buffalo is currently 15-12 against the IL North, the best divisional record among the six teams.
HIT STREAKS: Ben Francisco enters today's game on a nine-game hit streak where he has hit .324 (12-37) with a double, three home runs and four RBI. With a hit tonight, he'll be the first Bison to have a 10-game hit streak this season. Right behind him is Andy Marte, who has a seven-game streak where he has averaged .385 (10-26) with five home runs and 10RBI.
PASSING THE TORCH: The home-run bug is catching on in the Bisons lineup. Andy Marte homered in consecutive games June 15(2)-19. Then Ryan Garko homered in two straight games, June 19-20. Now, Ben Francisco has gone deep in two consecutive games, June 20-22.
HOMER TEAM: As a team, the Bisons have hit six home runs in their last two games and 14 in their last eight contests. Buffalo now have an International League-high 69 home runs on the season, seven more than any team in the IL (Toledo, 62).
ROSTER MOVE: The Cleveland Indians have recalled catcher Kelly Shoppach today. Shoppach reached in 19 of the 21 games he played in and averaged .282 (22-78) with four home runs and 19RBI. In his place, the Bisons have promoted catcher Armando Camacaro. Camacaro has spent time with Single-A Kinston and Double-A Akron this year and has combined to hit .138 (9-65) with four RBI. He has thrown out 44% (15-34) potential base stealers this season.
POST GAME FIREWORKS: After tonight's game, the Bisons will hold their annual Century 21 Home Run Derby. Sluggers Jason Cooper, Jake Gautreau, Jonathan Van Every and Jason Alfaro are scheduled to compete in the contest.
