Today's Game

This afternoon, the Bisons host the Toledo Mud Hens in the final game of a three-game series from Coca-Cola Field (1:05 p.m.). The clubs have split the first two games of the set with the Herd winning 4-1 on Monday night. This seven-game homestand continues tomorrow with a four-game series with Pawtucket.

Last Game (TOL 7, BUF 1)

Toledo scored three runs in the 8th and 9th innings to break open a great pitcher's duel between Bisons' LHP Wade LeBlanc and RHP Thad Weber. LeBlanc allowed just a unearned run over 6.1 innings with two walks and six strikeouts. INF Alexi Casilla finished the game 2-4 with a pair of steals -Buffalo's first multi-steal performance of 2016.

vs. Toledo (1-1)

The Bisons will travel to Fifth Third Field for the Toledo-half of this six-game season series, May 27-29. While the Herd holds the 88-81 record over Toledo in the modern era, it has been a back-and-forth rivalry. The last time either team won two straight in the matchup was a pair of Hens' victories, June 14-15, 2014.

Roberto Hernandez

RHP Roberto Hernandez makes his fifth start of the season today. The righty fell in defeat last Friday in Norfolk, allowing four runs over five innings of work. That was Hernandez's first road start of the season. Prior to that, he was 1-1 with a 1.84 ERA in three starts at Coca-Cola Field, including a victory in his last home start, May 8 vs. Syracuse.

Roster Moves

The Bisons have activated INF Andy Burns and RHP Dustin Antolin. Both players return after making their MLB debuts with the Blue Jays. Burns played in five games (0-4) while Antolin allowed three runs in two innings of work on Monday. Buffalo also placed RHP Bobby Korecky on the disabled list today.

Pitching Prowess

Even with last night's loss, Bisons pitchers have posted a 1.22 ERA over the last 11 games. Herd starters have posted a 1.10 ERA with seven quality starts since May 7 while the bullpen has had a 1.48 ERA over its last 30.1 innings. Buffalo's 3.10 ERA is 3rd best in the IL.

Bisons Bits

RHP Ben Rowen leads all Bisons pitchers with 15 appearances. He has allowed just one of 14 inherited runners to score (7.1%)...Despite an 11-day stint with the Blue Jays, INF Andy Burns still ranks 6th in the IL with nine doubles. Teammate INF Jesus Montero is tied for 4th with 10 two-baggers...RHP Dustin Antolin recorded a save in his last three Bisons appearances prior to his first big league promotion.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (19-22) suffered their fourth-straight defeat yesterday, 12-2 to Tampa Bay. RF Jose Bautista accounted for both of Toronto's runs with his seventh home run of the season. Recalled prior to the game, former Bisons SHP Pat Venditte allowed three unearned runs over 2.1 innings of relief. The Blue Jays host the Rays again tonight at 7:07 p.m.
