The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will look to take the series from the Syracuse Chiefs on Wednesday morning. First pitch from Coca-Cola Park is slated for 10:35 a.m.
RHP Zach Eflin (4-0, 2.79) gets the ball for the IronPigs in the series finale. The 22-year-old earned the win on Friday vs. Toledo when he gave up one run on four hits while walking one and fanning five in 7.0 IP. Over his 6 GS this season, Eflin has held lefties to a .192 average (10-52).
RHP Paolo Espino (1-3, 3.22) will be on the bump for manager Billy Gardner Jr's squad on Wednesday morning. The Panama City, Panama native got a no-decision on Thursday vs. Indianapolis when he gave up three runs on six hits while walking one and fanning 10 over his seven innings of work. On April 20 vs. the Pigs, Espino was dealt the loss after allowing three runs on four hits to go along with six strikeouts in 6.0 IP.
Pigs INF Taylor Featherston has hit safely in seven of his last eight games. In that time, Featherston is hitting .355-1-3 (11-31, 3 2B, 3B, 6 R).
