TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons host the Norfolk Tides in the finale of a four-game series at Coca-Cola Field (7:05 p.m.). The Herd lost last night in a rain-shortened five-inning game by a score of 5-4. The Bisons are 18-13 at Coca-Cola Field this season. Buffalo is off Wednesday and will host Pawtucket for a four-game set beginning on Thursday night.

vs. TIDES: The Bisons are 1-2 against the Tides this season. Dating back to 2009, the Herd has won nine of its last 12 games against the Tides in Buffalo. The Bisons' winning percentage of .631 (70-41) against Norfolk since 1998 is their best against any team in the International League.

WASHED OUT: Last night's game became official after five innings and a 52 minute rain delay. It was the first time a Bisons home game was shortened by rain since the Herd defeated Charlotte 6-2 in five innings on May 23, 2011.

OLE': LHP GARRETT OLSON takes the mound for his 13th start of the season. The southpaw is coming off 5.0 innings of two-run baseball (one earned) in a win at Columbus on June 7. This month, Olson is 1-0 with a 2.70ERA and six strikeouts in 10.0 innings of work. He is tied for second among Bisons starters with 60 strikeouts on the season.

ROSTER MOVES: OF MATT DEN DEKKER has been promoted from Double-A Binghamton and has joined the Herd. The outfielder hit .340 with eight home runs and 29RBI in 58 games with Binghamton. He leads the Eastern League in batting average (.340), hits (81), and runs scored (47). Also, OF DUSTIN MARTIN was transferred from the Bisons to Binghamton. He hit .257 in 28 games with Buffalo.

BISONS BITS: Both complete games by Bisons starters this year have been losses for the team. RHP CHRIS SCHWINDEN tossed a six-inning complete game in the second game of a doubleheader on April 22 in a 1-0 loss to Syracuse...INF BRAD EMAUS homered and drove in three runs in last night's loss. He has now hit .333 (7-21) with two home runs and four RBI in his last six games...RHP FERNANDO CABRERA leads the IL with 14 saves this season.

METS UPDATE : The Mets (32-29) were off yesterday. They will begin a three-game series in Tampa Bay tonight (7:10 p.m.). RHP CHRIS YOUNG gets the nod for his second start for New York following shoulder surgery last season. INF DAVID WRIGHT is third in the National League with a .354 batting average.
