Bisons Add OF Matt Den Dekker to Roster, Martin Transferred to Binghamton

The Buffalo Bisons today announced that OF MATT DEN DEKKER has been promoted to the Herd and OF DUSTIN MARTIN has been sent down to Double-A Binghamton. den Dekker is available for tonight's game against Norfolk (7:05 p.m.).

den Dekker, 24, hit .340 (81-238) with eight home runs and 29RBI in 58 games with Binghamton. He is currently the Eastern League leader in batting average (.340), hits (81), doubles (21), runs scored (47), and total bases (134). He is also tied for the league lead in extra-base hits with 33.

On Monday, den Dekker was named Eastern League Player of the Week. In his last six games, the outfielder has hit .630 (17-27) with four doubles, a triple, nine runs scored and four RBI.

Martin was signed by the Mets and added to the Bisons roster on April 24. In 28 games with the Bisons, he hit .257 with a homer and 8RBI.
