Today's Game
This afternoon, the Bisons host the Charlotte Knights for finale of a three-game series at Coca-Cola Field (1:05 p.m.). The Knights swept the Herd in last night's doubleheader, dropping Buffalo to 1-5 in their last six contests. The Bisons' homestand will continue tomorrow with the start of a three-game series against Durham
Last Game (CHA 9-1 and 5-1)
The Knights outhit the Bisons by a combined 21-7 in sweeping a pair of games from the Bisons. Buffalo was a combined 0-11 with runners in scoring position, scoring in the first game on INF Jio Mier's RBI-double and on an RBI-groundout by INF Alexi Casilla in game two.
vs. Charlotte (0-2)
The Bisons and Knights will play six times this season. The BB&T Ballpark-portion of the season series won't take place until August 20-22. Even with last night's doubleheader loss, the Bisons have won eight of their last 11 contests against the Knights at Coca-Cola Field.
Drew Hutchison
RHP Drew Hutchison will make his 12th start of the season today, but only his fourth at Coca-Cola Field. The righty is 1-0 with a 2.79 ERA in downtown Buffalo. In his last home start, Hutchison retired the first 17 batters he faced and struck out nine in 7.1 innings to beat Columbus on May 31. Hutch allowed four runs in five innings in a defeat in Rochester last Monday.
Dalton Pompey
OF Dalton Pompey's 12-game hit streak is the longest active streak in the IL. The outfielder has hit .412 (21-51) since May 24, with three doubles and six RBI. Pompey has also drawn eight walks during the streak for a .492 on-base pct. His .310 average on the season is four plate appearances shy of qualifying as the 8th-best in the IL.
Bullpen Notes
Since being optioned to the Bisons on May 22, RHP Bo Schultz has allowed just one run in six outings (6.2 IP) without issuing a walk (6K). RHP Ben Rowen has not given up a run in his last 12 appearances (15.0IP), allowing just six hits while striking out 12.
David Adams
INF David Adams has a hit in 19 of his last 22 games with an at-bat. Since April 24, the infielder has averaged .383 (23-60) with eight doubles and 12 walks. On the season, Adams has walked 18 times to only 21 strikeouts. He has a .405 on-base pct. so far this season.

C A.J. Jimenez is 5th in the IL having thrown out 28.9% (11 of 38) would-be base stealers...OF Darrell Ceciliani is 7 for 7 stealing bases.
Blue Jays Update
The Blue Jays (34-30) slugged their way past the Orioles, 11-6, on Saturday. DH Edwin Encarnacion homered twice and drove in five runs. LF Michael Saunders added a home run and two RBI to the cause and LHP J.A. Happ improved to 7-3 with seven innings of work. Toronto hosts Baltimore again this afternoon at 1:07 p.m.
