PAWTUCKET, R.I. - The Louisville Bats fell in the finale at McCoy Stadium, 1-0 as the Pawtucket PawSox won the series on Sunday afternoon. Louisville finished the road trip 3-4 and lost two out of three to Pawtucket.

The Bats got a leadoff single from Scott Schebler in the ninth, but he was erased on a double play and Brandon Allen grounded out to end the game. The Bats fell to 2-3 in 1-0 games this season.

The lone run of the game came in the second when the PawSox Ali Solis singled to left field scoring Bryce Brentz giving the PawSox a 1-0 win. The Bats were able to put runners on base in seven of the nine innings but were unable to bring in a run.

Right-hander Keyvius Sampson (2-2, 1.83) took the tough-luck loss. He pitched six innings allowing two hits, one run with three walks and three strikeouts. Pawtucket's Aaron Wilkerson (2-2, 2.25) earned the win as he pitched six innings allowing three hits, one walk, and striking out seven.

The Bats will be back in town tomorrow night, as they will take on the Syracuse Chiefs. Left-hander Cody Reed will be on the mound. The Chiefs will counter with right-hander Jaron Long. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
