Bisons' KeyBank Independence Night Celebration with BPO, Largest Fireworks Show of the Year Returns Monday, July 4tth
June 29, 2022 - International League (IL)
Buffalo Bisons News Release
June 29, 2022 -One of the best Western New York summer traditions is back for the first time in three years as the Buffalo Bisons will host the 26th KeyBank Independence Night Celebration featuring the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra & the Largest Fireworks Show of the Year at Sahlen Field on Monday, July 4th as the team faces the Syracuse Mets (6:05 p.m. first pitch, Gates: 4:30 p.m.).
A tradition that has been shared by nearly a half million fans since its debut in 1995, the KeyBank Independence Celebration has long served as a WNY destination for celebrating the July 4th holiday. Following the game between two great International League rivals in Buffalo and Syracuse, the BPO takes the stage for a Postgame Concert featuring pop-culture favorites, patriotic classics and military tributes. Of course, the night doesn't end until the Largest Fireworks Show of the Season lights up the skies above Sahlen Field.
This year, the BPO will be joined by Lockport-native and star of NBC's The Voice, Joshua Vacanti, who will perform The Beatle's Hey Jude and Queen's Somebody to Love during the postgame concert.
The Bisons players will also wear special Stars & Stripes Caps during the game. Those caps are available for purchase in the Sahlen Field gift shops and at Bisons.com.
Tickets/BPO Family Packs Available
Tickets for this year's KeyBank Independence Night are on sale at Bisons.com and the Sahlen Field Box Office (Open M-F, 9am-5pm, Saturday 10am-2pm). The Bisons also have a tremendous deal available with the popular BPO Family Pack which includes four July 4th tickets, four hot dog/soda vouchers and 25% off at the ballpark's gift shops for only $109 (Savings of 20%). Additional discounted tickets can also be added onto the pack for larger families.
Individual tickets for July 4th are $26 through Sunday and $29 on the day of the game.
