***REMINDER -Saturday's Doubleheader with Syracuse begins at 5:05 p.m.***

TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons take on the Syracuse Chiefs in the first game of a five-game series from Dunn Tire Park (7:35 p.m.). The Bisons are coming off a difficult roadtrip that saw them get swept for the first time this season. Overall, Buffalo was 2-6 on the eight-game trip to Durham and Charlotte. On the mound tonight for Buffalo will be LHP Jeremy Sowers. Sowers will look to pick up his first win of the season (0-4, 5.82). The Chiefs will counter with RHP Jeremy Cummings.

VS. SYRACUSE: The Bisons are 3-2 in the five games against Syracuse this season. The Herd was victorious on April 24 in Buffalo (10-5). April 25 was rained out and will be made up tomorrow. The teams then split a four-game series in Syracuse, May 1-4. In the five games already played, the teams have combined to hit .303 with nine home runs and 70 runs scored.

HOME COOKING: Tonight's game begins a nine-game in eight-day homestand for the Herd. After the five-game set with the Chiefs, the Charlotte Knights will come to town for their only visit of 2007. Starting tonight, 26 of the Bisons next 40 games will be at Dunn Tire Park.

HOMER MAN: Infielder Keith Ginter hit his 11th home run of the season last night. He is now just one long ball behind Ryan Mulhern (12) for the team lead. Ginter's 40RBI are also second on the team behind Mulhern (56). A patient hitter, Ginter leads the Bisons with 48 walks, one more than his strikeout total (47).

SMOOTH CRIMINALS: Luis Rivas' stole his 13th base last night and is now second on the team behind only Ben Francisco (15). Brad Snyder and Trent Durrington are both one behind Rivas with 12. Snyder is a perfect 12 for 12 in stolen base attempts while Durrington is 12-15 and Rivas is 13-19. Combined the three are 37 for 46, an 80% success rate.

THRUWAY CUP: The Bisons currently lead the 2007 Thruway Cup Series. The Herd (8-5) lead the series by two games over second-place Rochester (7-8). Syracuse (5-7) is coming off a series win against the Red Wings to pull within 2.5 games of Buffalo. The Bisons are in search of their sixth Thruway Series win in eight years.
