Richmond, VA - The Richmond Braves invite all fans to participate in an attempt to break a Guinness World Record on Saturday, July 21 when the Braves host the Toledo Mud Hens at The Diamond. Game time is 7 PM. The Braves hope to have a record number of fans simultaneously don Groucho Marx glasses.

The first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive a pair of the famous glasses. Anyone that wishes to participate must sign in with a Braves' staff member. Staff Members will be located at every entrance to the main concourse.

The attempt will take place at the completion of the fifth inning. According to the Guinness Record Book, participating fans must wear the glasses for a minimum of 10 minutes. The public address announcer will start the promotion and the clock will begin.

The Braves look to crush the current record of 1,463 people who wore the glasses at the Goreham, Maine Family Festival on July 30, 2006.
