Today's Games

This evening, the Bisons open up a three-game weekend series with the Syracuse Mets. Following a series loss with the Scranton/WB RailRiders, Buffalo will look to finish off their hot month of June. Following this series, the Herd will host the Lehigh Valley IronPigs for a three-game set to open up July.

Yesterday's Game 1: BUF 4, SWB 6

The Bisons dropped the first game of the double header in Scranton/WB, which secured the series win for the RailRiders. Buffalo's offense was led by home runs from Andy Burns and Socrates Brito, each for two RBIs. The RailRiders offense was assisted by a strong day at the plate from Breyvic Valera who went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and three RBI's to lead them to victory.

Yesterday's Game 2: BUF 1, SWB 0

Buffalo outlasted Scranton/WB in a pitcher's duel to earn the double header split. The lone run of the game was scored via an Alen Hanson single in the fourth which brought Jordan Patterson in to score. Tayler Saucedo made another spot start for the Herd, going 4.2 IP in a no decision.

Syracuse (2-5)

Buffalo and Syracuse are meeting for the third time of 2019 after

having played a series at each of their respective fields. The Bisons will travel to Syracuse for a four-game series next week for their final visit there. The Mets will then come to Buffalo one last time 8/2-8/4.

Today's Starter

RHP Jacob Waguespack takes the mound for the Bisons tonight

in his eleventh start with the team, his second on an MLB Rehab assignment. He carries a 2-6 record with a 5.51 ERA and a K:BB ratio of 48:22. In his last outting he was handed the no decision while tossing 4.0 IP, giving up one run on three hits, and striking out three batters to just one walk.

Socrates Brito

OF Socrates Brito went 1-4 with a home run and two RBIs in the first game of the double header last night. This now brings his RBI total up to a team-leading 32 in just 39 games played.

Alen Hanson

INF Alen Hanson provided the Bison's only source of offense in game-two of the double header last night. On the day, he hit 1-2 with an RBI single in the fourth which turned out to be the only, and winning, run of the game.

Blue Jays Update

Toronto (29-52) is coming back from an off day to start a four-game series with the Kansas City Royals to finish up the month of June and open up July. This is their first time meeting the Royals in 2019 as the Blue Jays are also celebrating Canada Day weekend. Tonight's game is scheduled to have a 7:07 PM EST first pitch.
