Just as quickly as the Bisons took a lead over the RailRiders on Monday night at Coca-Cola Field, the IL North division leaders took it right back.

In a span of just five pitches, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre scored three runs in the seventh inning of a 6-4 victory over the Bisons in the third-to-last home game of the 2015 season. At 34-36, Buffalo now needs victories over the next two nights to end the season with at least a .500 record at Coca-Cola Park.

After trailing 2-0 early, the Bisons scored in three straight innings, taking a 4-2 lead when Ryan Schimpf's sixth inning double bounced over the outfield wall in right. But in an instant, the lead was gone.

Cole Figueroa led off the seventh inning with a single on the first offering of the frame from Herd 11-game winner, Scott Copeland. Gregorio Petit then drove a 1-1 pitch over the head of Dalton Pompey in centerfield to score Figueroa. On the very next pitch, Copeland let a slider leak over the plate and Ben Game hit it out of the park for his 11th home run of the season.

Three runs on five pitches and the RailRiders never looked back. A stellar Scranton/Wilkes-Barre bullpen came to play again on Monday night, tossing three hitless innings to preserve the win.

Copeland took the loss to fall to 11-5 on the season. He yielded all six runs on 11 hits.

Trailing 2-0 in the fourth, newcomer Danny Dorn hit a sacrifice fly to get the Bisons on the board. Jon Diaz followed that up in the fifth with an infield single that plated George Kottaras. Matt Hague extended his hit streak to 11 games with a single to score along with Andy Burns on Schimpf's double.

The Bisons have just two home games left in 2015 with Tuesday's Oktoberfest (7:05 p.m.) and Wednesday's Fan Appreciation Night (6:05 p.m.).

BISONS NOTES

Matt Hague has averaged .386 (17-44) over his 11 game hit streak. His hit on Monday was his 172nd of the season. Only former Bisons shortstop Jhonny Peralta (181 in 2004) has had more hits in one year in the International League since 2000...Danny Dorn was activated prior to Monday game. He was claimed off the Arizona Diamondback's waivers by the Blue Jays on Friday...On his 27th birthday, Caleb Gindl went 1-4 with a double. He also threw out a runner at home trying to score on a flyball in the ninth inning.
