AUDY CIRIACO, Columbus Clippers     IL BATTER OF THE WEEK
Audy Ciriaco hit .393 over the past week and led the International League with three home runs,  ten RBI, and a .750 slugging percentage as his Columbus Clippers battle for a playoff berth.  Seeing action at first, second, and third base during the week, Ciriaco produced four multi-Âhit games and had at least three RBI on three separate occasions.  The highlight of his week came Wednesday at Toledo when he crushed a grand slam in the Clippers' 12-Â2 victory.  Ciriaco raised his season's average by twenty points this week, helping the Clippers maintain a strong hold on the Wild Card race (+5.5 games) while pulling within 1.0 game of Indianapolis for the West Division lead.  28-Âyear-Âold Audy Ciriaco is in his eleventh season as a professional player and his second in the Cleveland organization. Last year he hit .255 with 15 homers and 70 RBI for Columbus in 112 games.  He has yet to make his big league debut.  Ciriaco is a native of San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic.
LOGAN DARNELL, Rochester Red Wings     IL PITCHER OF THE WEEK
For the fourth time in five weeks a Red Wing has earned Player of the Week honors.  Left-Âhander Logan Darnell, who was converted to a starting pitcher earlier this month, won two times this week and led the League with 17.0 innings pitched and 17 strikeouts.  Monday night at Syracuse, Darnell tossed a five-Âhit shutout, taking a perfect game into the 6th frame and a no-Âhitter into the 7th as Rochester topped the Chiefs 9-Â0.  Darnell was nearly as impressive Saturday evening back home against Pawtucket, this time allowing just one run on five hits over 8.0 innings.  The 5-Â1 victory was his third in a row.  Since joining the starting rotation on August 13, Darnell has allowed just two earned runs on 14 hits in 28.0 innings of work.  26-Âyear-Âold Logan Darnell is in his sixth season as a professional pitcher.  The 2010 sixth round draft pick first reached Triple-ÂA in 2013, and his big league debut came last season in seven appearances for Minnesota (four starts).  Darnell is a native of Nashville, Tennessee.
