Buffalo Bisons News Release

The Buffalo Bisons today announced that RHP Adam Miller has been activated off the disabled list. He is expected to start and throw one inning in Monday night's game against the Norfolk Tides (7:05 p.m.). LHP Aaron Laffey will then take over in the second inning.

The Herd also announced that RHP Matt Miller has been placed on the disabled list, retroactive to June, 21, with a right forearm injury.

Adam Miller, the Cleveland Indians #1 prospect by Baseball America, has not pitched since May 12 because of a bruised ligament in the middle finger of his pitching hand. After being scratched from a couple starts, the Bisons placed him on the disabled list on May 30.

Adam Miller was the Bisons Opening Day starter and made seven starts before his injury. He is 4-1 with a 2.45ERA (44.0IP, 37H, 14R, 12ER, 14BB, 39K) with Buffalo this season. His 39 strikeouts led the Cleveland Indians development system prior to his injury.

Matt Miller is 0-0 with a 3.21ERA in 15 relief appearances with the Bisons (14.0IP, 9H, 5R, 5ER, 6BB, 18K).
