Condrey Gets Called Up; Romero Added

OTTAWA - The Philadelphia Phillies have purchased the contract of RHP Clay Condrey from the Lynx. Ottawa added LHP J.C. Romero to the roster, placing him on the Temporarily Inactive list.

Condrey, 31, was 2-0 with a 9.00 ERA in 12 games with the Phillies earlier this season. He was first outrighted to the Lynx April 20th and recalled to Philadelphia May 5th before returning to Ottawa last week. Condrey was 1-0 with a 3.29 ERA in six games with the Lynx this season.

Romero, 31, started the season with Boston, earning a 1-0 record with one save and a 3.15 ERA in 23 games with the Red Sox. He has a career record of 27-22 in parts of nine Major League seasons with Minnesota, Los Angeles and Boston.
