Montgomery Biscuits News Release

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - In a game that lasted four hours and fourteen minutes, the Biscuits (25-21) rallied from two late-inning deficits and used a walk-off, ground-rule double from Cameron Seitzer in the thirteenth inning in a 7-6 win over the Huntsville Stars (31-16) Thursday night at Riverwalk.

The Biscuits rallied from a 5-2 deficit in the eighth and a 6-5 deficit in extra innings to even the series with the Stars.

With the game tied at five in the twelfth inning, Kentrail Davis ripped a solo home run to right center to give the Stars the lead. The home run also gave Davis the cycle to become the first player to ever hit a cycle against the Biscuits.

Richie Shaffer led off the bottom of the twelfth with a double to left center. Luke Maile then came to the plate and hit a groundball to the shortstop Nick Shaw who threw wildly to first. The ball went into the stands allowing the tying run to score. Montgomery used the momentum from another comeback to win it in the ninth with a Cameron Seitzer double to center that scored Jeremy Moore for the win.

Moore came up clutch with a two-out, double in the eighth inning to cap a three-run inning that allowed the Biscuits to tie the game at five. Jeff Malm drove in the first run of the eighth to make it 5-3. Willie Argo then used a safety squeeze to score the second run. Two batters later, Moore entered the game as a pinch hitter and tied the game.

The Stars offense started hot, scoring two runs in the second inning, one in the third and two in the fourth.

Shaffer was the Biscuits offense early, singling-in a run in the third inning to make it a 3-1 game. He then launched a blast off the scoreboard in the fifth inning to make it a 5-2 game.

The bullpen for the Biscuits combined to allow one run in nine innings. Bryce Stowell (1-1) finished the game for the win.

Game three of the series is Friday night at 7:05. RH Dylan Floro will be on the mound for the Biscuits, while the Stars will throw RH Taylor Jungmann.
