JACKSON, Tenn. - The Biscuits (22-19) used a five-run second inning to spark an offense that matched their season-high in hits in a 10-2 win over the Jackson Generals (17-24) Friday night at Generals Park.

Jake Hager led off the second inning with a single. Two batters later, Luke Maile worked the count until the eleventh pitch of the at-bat when he pummeled a triple to right-center that scored Hager and broke a scoreless-tie. The lengthy at-bat sparked a blaze that would have the Biscuits finishing the game with 15 hits.

Joey Rickard followed Maile with an RBI-single to make it 2-0. Three batters later, Cameron Seitzer hit a single into center that scored Willie Argo with Taylor Motter scoring on the play because of an error by Leon Landry in center. Richie Shaffer finished off a five-run inning by driving in Seitzer with an off-the-wall-double.

Victor Mateo (5-3) was the beneficiary to the run support. The Generals touched up Mateo for two runs in the second inning, but Jackson would not score after the second. Mateo picked up his sixth win in his last seven starts by going five innings and scattering eight hits.

Montgomery's offense continued with an Argo single in the third inning that scored Maile. The Biscuits put up three runs in the fifth and one run in the ninth to lead 10-2. The eight run differential was the Biscuits' largest margin of victory on the season.

Matt Ramsey, Santiago Garrido and Matt Lollis threw the final four innings to hold off the Generals.

Seven of the Biscuits starters finished with two hits while Argo, Maile and Rickard drove in two runs each.

The middle-game is Saturday night at 6:05. RH Dylan Floro will take the ball to face off with one of the Mariners' top-ten prospects, RH Victor Sanchez.
