Staten Island, N.Y. - Sunday afternoon was a scorcher on Staten Island, but the IronBirds stayed hotter then the sun with a 5-1 win over the Yankees.

BIG MOMENTS
2nd inning: Already down a run, Aberdeen tied it with three doubles in a row. Andrew Fregia grabbed the one that came with an RBI and made it 1-1.
3rd inning: Aberdeen got the runs that counted. Johnny Rizer, Toby Welk and Andrew Daschbach had three hits in a row. Joey Ortiz sprinkled in an RBI double and made it a four hit, three run inning to make it 4-1.
