
Staten Island Falls in Game Two of Series with Aberdeen 5-1

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.-The Staten Island Yankees dropped game two of their three-game set with the Aberdeen Ironbirds 5-1 at Richmond County Bank Ballpark on Saturday afternoon.
The Yankees were the team that got out to the early lead on an RBI single from Spencer Henson that drove in David Metzgar who had doubled earlier in the first inning. However, the Yankees would not score again after that.
Aberdeen would respond right away with an RBI double in the second inning from Andrew Fregia and then would add three more in the third inning. The big hit came from Joey Ortiz who drove in two runs with a two-run double.
The Ironbirds would add one more in the ninth inning on an RBI single from Andrew Dashbach and then closed it out to pick up their second win of the series.
Staten Island and Aberdeen will return to Richmond County Bank Ballpark tomorrow at 11a.m. for the final game of the series.
