Bikes, Fireworks And Cats on Tap with Spikes This Weekend

STATE COLLEGE, PA - The State College Spikes return home Saturday evening for the first of three straight nights of fun, affordable family entertainment at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park!

The Spikes will play host to the Batavia Muckdogs, the future St. Louis Cardinals, Saturday at 7:05 p.m., Sunday at 6:05 and Monday at 7:05. Ballpark gates will open to the general public one hour prior to first pitch each night.

Bike Night, Fireworks Night and the unique Purr in the Park Night are among the featured promotions during the three-game set.

Saturday's Bike Night will include a unique ticket discount offer for motorcycle enthusiasts. Show any piece of clothing or gear that shows your love of motorcycles and receive $3 off any ticket. The evening will also feature motorcycle displays from local dealers.

Sunday means Family Day with the Spikes. It all starts with a Pre-Game Catch from 5 to 5:30. Families can then enjoy a great post-game FIREWORKS show presented by Rex Energy and all kids 12 and under can run the bases thanks to Clinical Outcomes Group, Inc.

Monday's game will feature the collision of dogs and cats, sort of. Monday is another Dollar Hot Dog Monday presented by 95.3 FM 3WZ, but also the first-ever "Purr in the Park" where fans are invited to bring their cats to the game in either a cat carrier or on a leash.

Sunday, July 10 (6:05 p.m. First Pitch)

-Salute to the Jersey Shore - The hit TV show will serve as the theme to Sunday's game

Monday, July 11 (7:05 p.m. First Pitch)
