Harrisburg, PA - The Bowie Baysox (8-13) used a four-run ninth inning to top the Harrisburg Senators (13-8) 6-2 on Friday night.

With one out in the ninth, the Baysox loaded up the bases on a Caleb Joseph walk and back-to-back singles by Antoan Richardson and Ronnie Welty. Jonathan Schoop knocked in the go ahead run with a sacrifice fly to center that scored Joseph. Zelous Wheeler then hit a two-run double and L.J. Hoes hit an RBI single to give the Baysox a 6-2 lead.

Brandon Waring got the scoring started in the top of the fourth inning when he hit a solo home run, his fifth of the year, to give the Baysox a 1-0 lead.

The Senators answered right back in the bottom half of the inning. Destin Hood singled and went to second on a wild pitch. He then scored on a Tim Pahuta double that evened up the score at 1-1.

In the seventh inning, the Baysox took the lead back. With two outs and no one on base Welty doubled. Schoop then followed with a double that knocked in Welty and gave the Baysox a 2-1 lead.

The Senators again responded in the bottom half of the inning. Sandy Leon hit a one-out double and Stephen King singled to put runners at the corners. Baysox starter Tim Bascom was then replaced by Pat Egan. The first batter Egan faced, Chris McConnell, grounded out to second, but on the play Leon scored to tie up the game 2-2.

Neither starting pitcher factored into the decision. Bascom went 6.1 innings and allowed two runs on seven hits with four strikeouts.

Mike Ballard went 5.2 innings for the Senators and allowed one run on four hits with six strikeouts.

Pat Egan picked up the win going 1.2 innings without allowing a run and striking out two batters.

Marcos Frias got the loss. He gave up all four runs in the ninth on five hits.

RHP Bobby Bundy (1-3, 5.31) will take the mound tomorrow against the Senators' RHP Paul Demny (1-1, 4.00) with a scheduled 7:00 p.m. first pitch.

The Baysox return home on Friday, May 4 for a three-game homestand against the Akron Aeros that includes two fireworks nights.
