Manchester Monarchs News Release

MANCHESTER, NH - The AHL announced today that goalie J.F. Berube has been added to the roster of the Eastern Conference for the 2015 AHL All-Star Classic presented by Turning Stone Resort Casino. He will join fellow Monarchs Colin Miller and Jordan Weal on the Eastern Conference team.

Berube, 23, will be making his first All-Star appearance in the AHL. He currently leads the league with 19 wins and has the fifth-best goals-against average among qualifying tenders at 2.05. Berube won nine straight starts with Manchester from Dec. 6-Jan. 2, allowing two goals or less in seven of those games. The fourth-year pro was recalled by the Kings on Jan. 17, but has yet to appear in a game. A native of Repentigny, Quebec, he was selected by the Kings in the fourth round (95th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

The 2015 All-Star Classic will be held from Jan. 25-26 at the Utica Memorial Auditorium, home of the Utica Comets. The Skills Competition (Sunday, 8 p.m.) and All-Star Game (Monday, 7 p.m.) can be viewed locally on NESN.
