Club de Foot Montreal News Release
MONTREAL - Midfielders Patrice Bernier, Issey Nakajima-Farran and Maxim Tissot, as well as defender Karl W. Ouimette, have been selected by the Canadian National Team to play the upcoming international friendly against Panama, on Thursday, November 18 at 8pm at Estadio Rommel Fernandez, in Panama City.
They will train with the Canadian selection in Orlando, Florida, from November 9 to 15 before traveling to Panama the following day.
Maxim Tissot earns his first ever invitation with the Canadian National Team. The Montreal Impact Academy graduate has recorded three goals and one assist in 26 games and 1,065 minutes of play since making his MLS debut in 2013.
Nakajima-Farran (31 appearances) and Ouimette (3 appearances) both played in Canada's last game versus Colombia, on October 15 at Red Bull Arena, in New Jersey.
Bernier reached the important plateau of 50 games played with the Canadian National Team in a 3-1 win over Jamaica on September 9, in Toronto, where he registered an assist on the team's first goal of the game.
