Five Toronto FC Players Called into Canadian National Team

Canada Soccer announced Thursday that five members of Toronto FC have been called into the Canadian Men's national team. Defenders Doneil Henry, Ashtone Morgan, midfielders Jonathan Osorio, Kyle Bekker and forward Dwayne De Rosario have been called into Canadian Head Coach Benito Floro's 23-man roster for the upcoming friendly match against Panama, on Tuesday, November 18 in Panama City, PAN.

De Rosario, 36, has earned 78 caps for Canada and is the team's all-time leading goal scorer with 20. His most recent cap for Canada was on September 9, 2014 in a friendly match against Jamaica where he came on in the 86th minute, in Canada's 3-1 victory. De Rosario made a combined 23 appearances, scoring one goal between MLS League matches and the Amway Canadian Championship this season for Toronto FC.

Henry, 21, has earned 12 caps for Canada. The Brampton, Ontario native earned his first cap for Canada's senior team on August 15, 2012 in a friendly against Trinidad and Tobago. His most recent cap for Canada was on October 14, 2014 in a friendly against Colombia where he started the match and played the full 90 minutes in Canada's 1-0 defeat. Henry made a combined 25 appearances between MLS league matches and the Amway Canadian Championship this season. He scored three goals for the club, and was also named to the MLS Team of the Week for Week 19.

Osorio, 22, has earned eight caps for Canada. He made 29 combined appearances, scoring three goals for Toronto FC between MLS league matches and the Amway Canadian Championship this season.

Bekker, 24, has earned 12 caps for Canada. He made his debut as a starter against Denmark on January 23, 2013. His most recent cap for Canada was on September 9, 2014 in a friendly match against Jamaica where he came on in the 45th minute, in Canada's 3-1 victory. Bekker made 24 combined appearances this season for Toronto FC between MLS league matches and the Amway Canadian Championship.

Morgan, 23, has earned nine caps for Canada. He became the first graduate of Toronto FC's Academy to appear for the Canadian Men's national team, when he came on as a substitute against Saint Lucia on October 7, 2011. This season, Morgan made a combined five appearances in all competitions, and was named to the inaugural Chipotle MLS Homegrown Game roster where he started the match and played 78 minutes on August 4 vs Portland Timbers U23.
