AT THE DISH: The Isotopes four runs all came via the long ball on Thursday ... Rio Ruiz connected on his first home run as an Isotope, a two-run shot in the sixth. Ruiz's contributions to the offense was not limited to the home run, contributing a double and drawing a walk ... Brian Serven also contributed a two-run homer in the ninth inning, his fourth of the season ... Fourteen of the 27 outs for the Isotopes came as a result of a strikeout.

TOEING THE RUBBER: Isotopes starter José Mujica (0-5, 9.00) struck out six batters over his 5.2 innings on the mound. The right-hander allowed four runs on eight hits, issuing one walk ... Reliever Jake Bird made his Triple-A debut on Thursday, allowing two runs in his inning of work out of the bullpen.
