SALT LAKE CITY -The Salt Lake Bees held off the Nashville Sounds 8-6 in the first game of a four-game series Friday night at Smith's Ballpark in front of 11,514 fans.

Jose Miguel Fernandez had a big night at the plate, going 3-for-4, finishing a triple shy of the cycle at the plate with a two-run home run and an RBI double to lead the Bees offense.
