
Late Homer Sends Dodgers to 2-1 Loss

Oklahoma City - Dusty Coleman hit a go-ahead home run in the top of the ninth inning to send the El Paso Chihuahuas to a 2-1 win against the Oklahoma City Dodgers Saturday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
The game was tied, 1-1, through eight innings before Coleman connected on a solo homer out to center field with one out in the ninth.
El Paso reliever Trey Wingenter then held the Dodgers without a hit or run in the bottom of the ninth inning for his third save with El Paso this season.
The Chihuahuas (57-48) grabbed a 2-0 lead in the series between the teams as the Dodgers took the field as Cielo Azul de Oklahoma City during the second ¡Celebración Cielo Azul! of the season.
The Dodgers (57-46) scored the game's first run Saturday.
Donovan Solano led off the bottom of the fourth inning with a walk and advanced to second base on a single by Connor Joe into left field. He then advanced to third base when Kyle Farmer flied out to right field. A sacrifice fly by Kyle Garlick brought Solano home for the first run of the night for a 1-0 Oklahoma City lead.
Dodgers starting pitcher Manny Bañuelos pitched six shutout innings, allowing five hits and one walk with five strikeouts to keep Oklahoma City in the lead.
The Chihuahuas were able to break through the shutout in the seventh inning when Forrestt Allday hit a RBI single to the game, 1-1.
El Paso had a chance to take the lead in the top of the eighth inning. Francisco Mejia led off with a double and advanced to third base on a groundout by Allen Craig. Dodgers pitcher Brian Schlitter then struck out Diego Goris and got Auston Bousfield to ground out to keep the game tied.
Dodgers reliever Dylan Floro (0-1) allowed the home run in the ninth inning and was charged with the loss in his season debut with Oklahoma City.
El Paso reliever Kazuhisa Makita (1-1) pitched the eighth inning and was credited with the win, as the Chihuahuas held the Dodgers to four hits on the night.
¡Celebración Cielo Azul! continues at 6:05 p.m. on a Chaparral Energy Family Sunday, featuring pregame player autographs, a mascot meet-and-greet, face painters, inflatables and postgame kids run the bases at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Folkloric dancers are also scheduled to perform throughout the evening.
Also during ¡Celebración Cielo Azul! new specialty foods will be offered at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, such as a pambazo sandwich, chorizo fries, chorizo sausage, chicharrones nachos, empanadas platter, pinchos, elotes and sopapillas. Latin music and a bilingual environment will enhance the gameday experience for fans.
Cox Communications will televise the game live on YurView on Cox (Channel 1333) beginning five minutes before first pitch.
