Coleman's Ninth-Inning Shot Lifts Chihuahuas in Pitchers Duel

Dusty Coleman's solo home run in the top of the ninth inning led the El Paso Chihuahuas to a 2-1 win over the Oklahoma City Dodgers Saturday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. It was El Paso's third straight victory.

El Paso's Jerry Keel pitched five innings and allowed only one run in a no-decision. It was the third consecutive game that the Chihuahuas' starter went five innings or more and allowed two runs or less. Brad Wieck, Kazuhisa Makita and Trey Wingenter each threw a scoreless inning in El Paso's win.

Catcher Francisco Mejia went 3-for-4 with a double, his first three-hit game for the Chihuahuas. Forrestt Allday went 2-for-4 with a walk and a game-tying RBI single off switch-pitcher Pat Venditte.
