Philadelphia Union News Release
CHESTER, Pa. - The Philadelphia Union battled Toronto FC to a 2-2 draw Wednesday evening. With the point on the road the Union are now in third place in the Eastern Conference. Less than a minute after kickoff, the Union jumped out to a 1-0 lead. Alejandro Bedoya scored his third goal of the season off of an assist by Daniel Gazdag, only taking 35 seconds to find the back of the net. The hosts found an equalizer with a Jozy Altidore goal in the 66th minute. Four minutes later a Union own goal gave Toronto the momentary lead. In the 77th minute Sergio Santos made his mark on the match, heading a cross from Wagner off the left post and in.
The Union are home at Subaru Park Sunday evening where they will host FC Cincinnati in the final home match of the season. (7:30 p.m. ET / PHL17).
