
FC Cincinnati Academy Midfielder Matthew Schenfeld Called into U-17 USMNT Camp

FC Cincinnati Academy midfielder Matthew Schenfeld has been called up to the U.S. Under-17 Men's National Team for its first training camp under new head coach Gonzalo Segares, the federation announced Wednesday.
The camp is the first U-17 USMNT training camp since February 2020 and takes place from November 1-8 at the Elite Athlete Training Center in Chula Vista, California. The camp kicks off the 2022-23 cycle, which culminates with the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Peru.
Players born on or after January 1, 2006 are eligible for this World Cup cycle. Schenfeld, from Louisville, Kentucky, is one of 36 players from 22 clubs and 18 states called into the camp. The full roster is listed below.
