Bears Release 2011-12 Regular Season Schedule

HERSHEY - The HERSHEY BEARS announced today in conjunction with the American Hockey League the schedule of games that will make up the 2011-12 regular season schedule. The announcement was made today by BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst.
The BEARS will open the 2011-12 regular season on Friday, October 7 against the defending Calder Cup champion Binghamton Senators at Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. HERSHEY will complete back-to-back road dates along I-81 opening weekend against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Saturday, October 8.
Following a road game in Norfolk on Friday, October 14, the BEARS will host the Admirals in the 2011-12 home opener on Saturday, October 15.
HERSHEY will face the St. John's IceCaps for the first time on Friday, March 9 at Mile One Stadium in St. John's. The IceCaps will play at Giant Center twice, both on March 21 and March 31.
The 2011-12 season is HERSHEY'S 74th in the American Hockey League, the longest active run of any team in league history.
