B-Sens Announce 2011-12 Schedule

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators, in conjunction with the American Hockey League, announced today the full 2011-12 regular season schedule, which will see the B-Sens open their tenth anniversary season at home against the Hershey Bears on Friday, Oct. 7, at 7:05 p.m.
The defending Calder Cup champions are poised to face 12 of the 14 opposing teams in the AHL's Eastern Conference at least twice. The B-Sens will face all but one of their East Division rivals eight times (four home, four road). Binghamton will play an eight game series each against the Hershey Bears, Norfolk Admirals and Syracuse Crunch. The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins are the lone exception, squaring off against the B-Sens ten times (five home, five road).
Binghamton will play twelve games against three teams in the Western Conference; the Hamilton Bulldogs (two), Toronto Marlies (two) and Rochester Americans (eight).
Weekend games fill the majority of the B-Sens' schedule again this season with 29 of the 38 home contests scheduled for a Friday (14) or Saturday (15). December will be the busiest month of the season for Binghamton, as the club will play 15 games (eight home, seven road) in 31 days.
The B-Sens schedule also features three traditional and much anticipated holiday games. The Adirondack Phantoms come to town on Thursday, Nov. 24 for Thanksgiving, the Albany Devils visit Binghamton on Monday, Dec. 26 for a post-Christmas match, and the Syracuse Crunch are set to join the B-Sens Saturday, Dec. 31 for New Year's Eve.
The B-Sens' 76-game 2011-12 regular season schedule will conclude at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena on Saturday, April 14 at 7:05 p.m. versus Norfolk.
