Bears, Monarchs on XM Radio this Saturday night

HERSHEY - The HERSHEY BEARS announced today in conjunction with the American Hockey League and XM Satellite radio that Saturday's game with the Manchester Monarchs will be carried on XM's Home Ice all-hockey talk channel. The announcement was made today by BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst.

XM is carrying up to 15 American Hockey League games while the NHL is off for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy. The BEARS and Manchester Monarchs will be the feature game on XM this Saturday night beginning with the pregame show at 6:40 p.m.

In addition to the game airing on the BEARS Radio Network (100.1 FM, 1490-AM and 960-AM) in central Pennsylvania Saturday night at 6:40 p.m., the game can also be seen locally on WHTM-TV (abc-27) beginning at 7:00 p.m. John Walton and WHTM-TV Sports Director Gregg Mace will have the call of the game Saturday on television beginning at 7:00 p.m.

XM Satellite Radio is the United States' leading satellite radio service with more than six million subscribers. XM's Home Ice all-hockey talk channel (channel 204) provides XM subscribers with groundbreaking hockey talk as well as live play-by-play coverage of more than 1,000 National Hockey League games per season and more than 40 games per week. XM will become the exclusive satellite radio broadcaster of NHL games starting after next season.

The BEARS host Manchester Saturday night and the Chicago Wolves this Sunday afternoon at 5:00 p.m. Tickets for both games this weekend at GIANT Center are available at the GIANT Center box office or by calling (717) 508-BEAR.
