Winchester assigned to Bulldogs

The Edmonton Oilers have assigned forward Brad Winchester to the Hamilton Bulldogs.

Winchester, 24, was recalled on February 11 and played on February 12 in the Oilers' 5-4 shootout loss to the St. Louis Blues. He has played in a total of 14 games with the Oilers this season, going scoreless while recording nine penalty minutes. In 26 games with the Bulldogs this season, the native of Madison, Wisconsin has collected 20 points (14 goals, six assists) and 85 penalty minutes.

Hamilton's next game will take place on Wednesday, February 15th when they host the Toronto Maple Leafs' AHL affiliate, the Toronto Marlies. Game time is 7:30 p.m. The Bulldogs have a number of promotions planned for Wednesday's game against the Marlies including honouring the Hamilton Spectator All-Decade Team as well as unveiling a new alternate jersey, which will be worn for at least one game during the 2006-07 season. In addition, the winner of the 820 CHAM "The Legend's" ‘This is Your Sign' and ‘New Year, New Cheer' contests will be announced.
