Tuesday's Barons game to air on XM Radio

CLEVELAND - Cleveland Barons President Michael T. Lehr, in conjunction with the American Hockey League, announced today that Thursday's Barons game against the Grand Rapids Griffins will be broadcast live on XM Satellite Radio.

XM is carrying up to 15 American Hockey League Games while the NHL is on their Olympic Break. The Barons game against Grand Rapids will be featured on XM's all-hockey Home Ice channel 204 and begins at 7:05pm this Thursday.

Play by play for the game will be provided by The Voice of the Barons, Jamie Smock. The normal Barons video and audio broadcast, provided online by B2 Networks, will be available on the Barons official website, www.clevelandbarons.net.

XM Satellite Radio is the United States' leading satellite radio service with more than six million subscribers. XM's Home Ice all-around hockey talk channel (channel 204) provides XM subscribers with groundbreaking hockey talk, as well as live play by play coverage of more than 1,000 National Hockey League games per season and more than 40 games per week. XM will become the exclusive satellite radio broadcaster of NHL games starting after next season. Hockey fans can also tune into Home Ice for expert analysis and commentary by NHL legends Phil Esposito, Denis Potvin, and Mike Bossy and from well known analysts such as Bill Clement and Darren Pang and broadcasters including Jim Tatti, Scott Laughlin, Cam Stewart, and Todd Lewis.

The Barons will return to National City Rink located in The Q on Wednesday, February 15 against the Houston Aeros at 7:05pm.
