Bears Linebacker Otis Wilson at Corn Crib on Saturday

NORMAL - The Normal CornBelters, presented by Illinois Corn Farmers, are proud to have Otis Wilson, member of the 1985 Chicago Bears, attending the June 18th game as part of State Farm Starstruck Saturdays. Following a six-game road trip, the CornBelters will be back at the Corn Crib on Thursday, June 16th, at 7pm, to open a three-game series against the Evansville Otters (ISU Alumni Night / Thirsty Thursdays - $ 1 beers / Bags Tournament).

Wilson was the Chicago Bears #1 draft choice in 1980. As a starting linebacker, he was part of one of the top-ranked and most feared defensive teams in League history. This defense held 11 of 16 opponents to 10 points or less. Wilson's defense helped the Bears win Super Bowl XX in 1985. He was also a featured soloist in the Bears "Super Bowl Shuffle" video. After retiring in 1989, Wilson was named to the All-Madden Century Team. He will be at the CornBelters game this Saturday to sign autographs and throw out the first pitch of the game!Saturday is also Shriners Night! The hilarious Shriners clowns performing on the concourse, the Mohammed Shrine Legion of Honor presenting our nation's colors, Tin Lizzies cruising around the ballpark and a "Fill the Fez" fundraiser to benefit Shriners Children's Hospital!
