Bears in Binghamton tonight as road trip continues
January 7, 2006 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Hershey Bears News Release
HERSHEY visits New York's southern tier tonight as the BEARS look for points in five straight games against the Binghamton Senators.
The BEARS play the second game of a current four-game road swing, looking for the first victory of the trip. HERSHEY dropped a 4-3 shootout decision Friday night at the Arena at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport despite taking the lead with 1:12 remaining. Binghamton enters play tonight with seven wins in its last ten games, but a woeful 1-11-2-1 record against East Division opposition. HERSHEY has won the three previous meetings between the two teams, with the latest coming in a 6-4 win at Broome County back on December 9. Frederic Cassivi is expected to make his second start in goal in as many days for the BEARS against Binghamton's Kelly Guard.
Tonight's game can be heard via the BEARS radio network at 6:45 p.m. Saturday night. John Walton has the call from Veterans Memorial Arena in Binghamton. HERSHEY returns home to face the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins next Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available at the GIANT Center box office, or by calling (717) 508-BEAR.
