
Bears announce three game exhibition schedule

HERSHEY â The HERSHEY BEARS announced today the 2004 preseason schedule that will lead up to the 2004-05 season opener. The AHL's most senior franchise will play three exhibition games, including the team's first ever visit to Reading's Sovereign Center.
The BEARS will begin the 2004 preseason on Saturday, October 2 when the team travels to Wachovia Arena At Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre to take on the Penguins at 2:00 p.m. The team's only preseason home game will take place on Sunday, October 3 when HERSHEY hosts the Binghamton Senators at GIANT Center at 5:00 p.m. The third and final preseason game of 2004 will take place at the Sovereign Center in Reading, PA when the BEARS play the Norfolk Admirals in at 7:05 start on Saturday October 9th.
Tickets for the game on October 3rd can be purchased beginning this Friday, August 6th by calling (717) 534-3911 or by visiting the GIANT Center box office. General admission tickets are $7 with a group rate of $5 available for groups of 15 or more.
Tickets for the October 9th game in Reading can be purchased in person at the Sovereign Center box office or by calling Ticketmaster at either (717) 260-2000 or (215) 336-2000. Tickets can also be purchased at ticketmaster.com. Season ticket holders of both the BEARS and Royals may purchase discounted tickets by calling the Royals ticket office at (610) 898-7825.
The BEARS begin their 67th season in the American Hockey League in October, with the 2004 home opener set for Saturday, October 16. Season tickets are on sale now by calling (717) 508-BEAR, with several different packages available.
