In Brief

· 11/10: IceHogs Oink into Town

The first Wacky Wednesday of the season saw the Hogs face-off against the Beacons. The Beacons jumped out into the lead first when Josh Tataryn (5) scored at 7:57 of the 1st period off of assists by Aaron Brand (6) and Trevor Edwards (6). The floodgates then opened as the IceHogs scored three unanswered goals to end the 1st leading 3-1. The second saw no scoring from either team, however the 3rd period began just like the 1st had ended; Rockford scoring with 5:46 remaining in the 3rd. The Beacons did not give up as David Beauregard (4) finally banged one home with 3:32 left in the game off of assists by Malcolm MacMillan (4) and Chris Slater (2) thus ending the game with a 4-2 loss.

· 11/12: Duck Hunting

The Beacons went into the Duck Pond looking to avenge the loss against the Hogs just two days prior. David Beauregard (5) would score the lone goal for the Beacons with assists by Andrew McPherson (1) and Rico Fatticci (3). Daniel Berthiaume made 21 saves on 23 shots. However the Mallards won the contest 2-1 in a tight defensive battle.

· 11/13: Second Meeting In Four Days

In their second meeting in four days the Beacons quickly found themselves in a hole. Just 3:26 into the game the Hogs scored and then nine minutes later they scored again taking a 2-0 lead into the first intermission. The second period did not fare much better for the Beacons as the Hogs scored twice more taking a 4-0 lead into the second intermission. Things would turn into the Beacons favor however as a cross-checking penalty was called on Rockford's JF Dufour just :39 into the 3rd period. The Beacons would capitalize on the opportunity to cut the lead down to 4-1 as Josh Tataryn (6) scored his team leading 3rd power play goal with assists from Trevor Edwards (7) and Andrew Shier (6). Three minutes later David Beauregard (6) scored his 3rd goal in as many games with assists by Chad Dameworth (3) and Malcolm MacMillan (5) to cut the lead in half to 4-2. That would be it however as Rockford notched another goal with about 10:00 left to play and won the game 5-2.

Upcoming Games: Week Six-Four Game Week · 11/17: Wings Fly into McMorran for their second visit This will be the third meeting between these two teams. Kalamazoo has won both prior meetings 4-2 and 3-1 respectively. FACE-OFF: 6:40 p.m. · 11/19: Second Visit To Perani Arena During the first visit the Beacons made to Perani Arena they managed to muster a point out of the game when they lost in a shootout. Daniel Berthiaume held them in as long as he could but in the end the Generals scored one more goal in the shootout and thus came away with the win. Look for another tight game between these two teams once again. FACE-OFF: 7:35 p.m. · 11/20: RiverOtters Float into McMorran Arena This will be the first of five meetings between these two teams. They will face each other three times at McMorran Arena and twice at the Family Arena. FACE-OFF: 7:05 p.m. · 11/21: Second Meeting against the Outlaws This will be the second meeting between these two teams and second at McMorran Arena. The Outlaws won 6-4 on October 22nd, the Beacons second game of the season. FACE-OFF: 5:05 p.m.

Weekly Nominees Player of the Week The Beacons nominate David Beauregard as the Sher Wood Player of the week. Beauregard finished the week with 3 points in three games played. Beauregard was -3 for the week and tallied 3 goals on 11 shots for the weekends action.

Goaltender of the Week The Beacons nominate Daniel Berthiaume as the Southern Sports Supply UHL Goaltender of the Week. Berthiaume finished the week 0-3-0 in 160 minutes played with 71 saves on 81 shots for a .877 SV% and a 3.75 GAA.

Join Beacons play-by-play announcer, Dennis Stuckey along with Head Coach, Rick Adduono for in depth analysis of the weekends action and questions from fans of all ages. Select Beacon players will also be appearing throughout the season. Of course if you cannot make it down to the Brass Rail you can always tune into AM 1450 and AM 1590, also your home for hockey action all year long both home and away.
